December 23, 2019 was going to get my son's hair cut for Christmas. First time for me, second time for him. Show up and knowing the crowds and line will be long had a mind set to be calm and patient. We show up at 7:30 p.m. (store closes at 8 pm). All the chairs are in use and waiting area is packed(not a single seat available) So we sign-in and we are number 8 on the waiting list. I ask how long of a wait and the front girl says around 45 minutes. After looking around and not wanting to stand for that long we go back to the vehicle and wait. After about 15 minutes (7:45 pm) I send my son in to check the list, at this point we are still #8. So we continue to wait outside in the truck cause it is 55 degrees outside. (7:55 pm) son goes back in to check the list and comes back to the truck to say we have moved to #6. We continue to wait inside the truck. (8:15 pm) Son goes to check the waiting list, we have moved to #3, at this point we get out of the truck and go to the door. The door is lock which is understandable because it is after closing time so we wait for the current two customers to come out. At this point I noticed two of the hair stylist come up to the front desk and look at me and my son and not knowing professionally how to read lips get the gist of their conversation through the glass that they were done for the night and why are there people waiting outside. When the door is unlocked to let the current customers out and we go in I am met and blocked my the manager of the store and told that they are closed. I mentioned we are on the waiting list and have been waiting since 7:30 pm ( at this point is almost 8:30) I mentioned those two stylist saw us out here and could have come to see what we were waiting on and in fact the receptionist lady was at the front and could have mentioned they have been waiting and yes they are on the list. BUT No we were not let in. We were not in the store by 8pm when they lock the doors, yet no posted signage is posted of this rule. Bottom line is the management needs to be retrained on customer service and how to handle long waits at closing time. I, my family, and anyone I can tell will never set foot into that location again due to the way we were treated.

I have been taking my son to the Calallen Sports Clips since it opened, because they are the only one's that cut his hair the way he likes it. However, recently the customer service is awful. We went on Tuesday, and they had no customers, just a bunch of stylist cleaning a chatting. One person asked if we checked in and I said yes, then she said we will be right with you. 10 minutes later we still sit waiting on someone to cut my sons hair. All the other stylist just looked at us but said nothing and kept cleaning. They finally called my son back, and the lady seemed to be irritated that she had to cut his hair. While I waited another person walked in, and he wasn't even acknowledged. He sat there for over 5 minutes before someone even came up to take him back. This is ridiculous and when you are in a service like this, you should be friendly and welcoming, and ready to take care of your customers.

Sorry use for "check-in online". They say you can check in 30 min prior... so i get here (within my 30 minutes) and my kids names is not on the wait listh. apparently she just removed their names from the wait list and tells me we have to get in the back of the line. SMH... if i could submit without even 1star i would.
